How to Get from Beijing to Chongqing
Going from Beijing to Chongqing means you prefer 4 days and 3 nights downstream cruise from Chongqing to Yichang. There are two ways to get to Chongqing - by flight and by train. It is recommended to take a flight to Chongqing from Beijing.
● By Flight - Fast, Convenient and Flexible
Flight Time: about 3 hours
From: Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX)
To: Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG)
There are more than 40 direct flights from Beijing to Chongqing, from 06:30 to 23:00. The flight travel time is about 3 hours.
If you take a morning flight to Chongqing, you’ll arrive in the Mountain City at noon. Taking a half day Chongqing city tour before boarding the cruise will be great. If you take an afternoon flight from Beijing to Chongqing, please choose the flight arrival by 16:00. Otherwise, you’ll be late for boarding. After arriving at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, it will take you at least 50 minutes to take a taxi to Chongqing Chaotianmen Port.

Duration: about 11.5 ~ 12 hours
From: Beijing West Railway Station
To: Chongqing North Railway Station, Chongqing West Railway Station
High speed trains are also available from Beijing to Chongqing, taking about 12 hours. Every day, there are two high speed bullet trains (both are G trains) departing from Beijing in the early morning and gets to Chongqing in the evening. One arrives at Chongqing North Station and another terminate at Chongqing West Railway Station.
Upon arrival, it takes more than 30 ~ 40 minutes from Chongqing North Station to Chaotianmen Port to take your Yangtze Cruise, while it needs nearly 50 minutes to 1 hour from Chongqing West Railway Station in southwest suburb. The train ride is quite long for over 10 hours. For travelers should board Yangtze River cruise before 21:00, the high speed bullet train schedule is not suit perfectly for the cruise boarding time. We suggest you take flight rather than by train from Beijing to Chongqing.

How to Get from Beijing to Yichang
Going from Beijing to Yichang means you want to take 5 days and 4 nights upstream cruise from Yichang to Chongqing. There are still two ways to get to Yichang from Beijing - by air and by train.

From: Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK)
To: Yichang Sanxia Airport (YIH)
At prsent, there are only 2 direct flights flying from Beijing to Yichang every day. One departs and arrive in the morning and one departs in the late afternoon and lands in Yichang at night. The flight travel takes nearly 2.5 hours. After arriving at Yichang Sanxia Airport, it takes about 1 hours & 10 minutes' driving from the airport to Yichang Maoping Port and takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to Sandouping Port.

Duration: about 7.5 hours
From: Beijing West Railway Station
To: Yichang East Railway Station
So far, there is only 1 high speed train running from Beijing to Yichang on a daily basis. It starts from Beijing West Station in the morning and arrives at Yichang in the afternoon. At the meantime, you can choose from two overlight normal-speed train, costing for 13 hours each. All the trains stop at Yichang East Station. After arrival, it takes about 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes to Yichang Maoping Port and about 1 hour to Yichang Sandouping Port by taxi or by private car.
