How to Get from Beijing Airport to Tianjin / Tianjin Cruise Port
Tianjin is located about 140km (2h10m by car) to the southeast of Beijing Capital International Airport. Keep driving southeast for another 67km (75 minutes), you will get to Tianjin Cruise Port. Long-distance buses and a combination of bus and train are the most common ways to get from Beijing airport to Tianjin City and Tianjin Cruise Port. This article will provide you with specific information and advice on how to make the transfer.

Beijing Capital International Airport to Tianjin City
You can either take a direct bus or make a transfer at Beijing South Railway Station to get to Tianjin City. Taking a taxi (about CNY 500) is also an option but not very recommended for foreign travellers because of the language barrier. There are risks of getting to the wrong destination or spending extra time and money.
Long-distance Bus to Tianjin City - Recommended (2.5 hours)
There are direct long-distance buses from Beijing Capital International Airport to Tianjin West Passenger Station every 30-60 minutes from 6:30am to 23:00pm. At present (July 2019), the bus ticket is 82 yuan per person and it takes 2.5 hours to get to Tianjin. You can buy the ticket at Gate 15, 1st Floor, T2 and Gate 1, 1st Floor, T3. Tianjin West Passenger Station is 30 minutes’ drive to downtown area and is convenient to get to other places in Tianjin.

High Speed Trains via Beijing South Railway Station (1.5 hours’ bus or drive + 30 minutes’ train)
If you want to experience the reputed high speed trains in China, you can take Airport Shuttle Bus Line 2 to Beijing South Railway Station, and then take a high speed train there to Tianjin. After 30 minutes, the high speed trains will arrive at Tianjin Railway Station (right at downtown area), Tianjin West Railway Station (30 minutes’ drive to downtown), or Tianjin South Railway Station (1 hour’s drive to downtown).

Beijing South to Tianjin High Speed Trains

There is no direct bus from Beijing Capital International Airport to Tianjin Cruise Port. By car it will need 2.5-3 hours; taking a taxi will cost about CNY 600. You can take the bus to Tanggu first and then go to Tianjin Port. Tianjin Port here refers to Tianjin International Cruise Home Port (天津国际邮轮母港) at No. 1001 Guanhai Road, Binhai New District, Tianjin (天津市滨海新区观海道1001号).
Shuttle Bus from Beijing Capital International Airport to Tanggu Passenger Station
Departure: 10:30, 13:00, 18:30, 20:30

Tanggu Passenger Station to Tianjin Cruise Port
Tanggu Passenger Station is about 32km from Tianjin Port. By car it will need about 45 minutes and by bus it needs 2 hours.
If your flight happens to arrive in the afternoon after 13:00 and you don’t want to wait until 18:30, you can take Shuttle Bus Line 2 to Beijing South Railway Station and take a high speed train there to Binhai Railway Station (1 hour), then transfer to Tianjin Cruise Port by car (40 minutes, about CNY 80 by taxi) or by bus (1.5 hours).
Note: The adjustment of routes, stations and schedule shall subject to the information published by the dispatching station of Beijing Capital International Airport. Independent travellers need to double check the route before departing as public transportation is sometimes changeable.
Beijing Daxing International Airport to Tianjin City and Tianjin Port (Cruise Port)
At present, there is no direct bus or train to get to Tianjin city or Tianjin Port from Beijing Daxing International Airport. To finish this 117km trip (2.5 hours’ drive, about CNY 260 by taxi) Independent travellers need to go to Langfang Railway Station first, which is about 33km (1 hour’s drive), and then take normal trains to Tianjin Railway Station (1 hour), or high speed trains to Tianjin West and Tianjin South Railway Station (20 minutes).
To get to the Tianjin Port (175km, 3 hours’ drive, about CNY 400 by taxi), public transportation can be rather time-consuming. You need to get to Langfang North Railway Station (1 hour’s drive) first, then take trains to Tanggu Railway Station (2 hours), and then get to Tianjin Port by car (45 minutes) or by bus (2 hours).
